Katte Shrine (勝手神社)
Katte Shrine (勝手神社) is a historic shrine on Mount Yoshino with deep connections to Japanese history and legend. The original shrine building was lost to fire in 2001, but the grounds remain preserved. Katte Shrine (勝手神社) is particularly famous for its connection to the tale of Shizuka Gozen, who performed a dance here after being separated from Minamoto no Yoshitsune.
