Kinpusenji Temple(金峯山寺)
Kinpusenji Temple(金峯山寺) is the head temple of Kinpusen-Shugendō, established in the mid-7th century. Kinpusenji Temple(金峯山寺) features the Zaō-Hall (Zaōdō), which is the second largest wooden structure in Japan after Tōdai-ji. Standing 34 meters tall and supported by 68 giant pillars, the temple houses three historic 7-meter tall blue-skinned Zao Gongen statues representing past, present, and future Buddha. Kinpusenji Temple(金峯山寺) is a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range.
